Position Title: Health Educator II
Department: Program Development/Training
Reports To: Senior Supervisor, Training
This position is responsible for health education and outreach. This position requires local travel, setting/adhering to one's schedule, and independent decision-making regarding patient recruitment and the provision of services. Provides education through educational sessions, group presentations, referrals, and follow-up to increase awareness and utilization of health services for the community.
SALARY RANGE
$26 - $34 per hour DOE

POSITION SUMMARY
This position is directly involved in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the agency's comprehensive employee training program, agency certifications/trainings, webinars, and conferences provided to the community at large. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of adult learning principles, teaching methods, and group facilitation skills. This position requires local and at times regional travel.

$27.50 - $43.50 per hour DOE

CATOGORIES OF DUTIES
Coordinates and standardizes in-house and agency-sponsored community training, webinars, and conferences.
Ensures a high-quality standard for all agency staff and community training by implementing and adhering to adult learning principles and the latest understanding of education and teaching methods.
Provide training for employees, including NHO, CPI, CPR/First Aid, and other training as assigned.
Collaborates in training-related activities, including preparing relevant documentation materials, reviewing training curriculum outlines, researching articles for learning initiatives, preparing PowerPoint presentations, developing training/trainer evaluations, and supporting other training activities as assigned.
Attend, as necessary, in-services, educational, and capacity-building training.
Attend internal and off-site training planning meetings as assigned.
Networks to develop training contacts and collaborations that further expand the scope of agency training and certification programs.
Provides organization, flexibility, and creativity to various agency learning initiatives, including the use of the latest learning management systems (LMS) and other hardware and software for implementing learning initiatives.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor
