Position Title: Health Educator II (Student Recruiter)

POSITION SUMMARY
The role of Student Recruiter for our online Substance Use Certification Program is essential for identifying and enrolling eligible community members. This position requires local travel and the ability to set and adhere to your own schedule, allowing for independent decision-making in student recruitment and educational program management. Ideal candidates will bring experience in sales, marketing, or school recruitment and will work autonomously to meet monthly student enrollment targets. Your efforts will be key to the success of our certification program, ensuring a steady stream of qualified students.
SALARY RANGE
$26 - $34 / per hour DOE

HOURS
8 per Day / 5 Days per Week
CATEGORIES OF DUTIES
- Promote health education throughout the community, soliciting and assessing interest in the Substance Use Certification Program and ensuring eligibility criteria are met.
- Conduct structured, scheduled educational sessions on approved topics as needed.
- Identify site locations for outreach work and health education classes.
- Conduct formal event outreach to foster awareness of the certification program and related healthcare services.
- Recommend pertinent information and referral services for medical, social, and emotional support.
- Update curricula for health education sessions, including pre- and post-tests.
- Establish and maintain a current resource file/directory with information on available programs, services, contact persons, community access avenues, and current trends in health services.
- Attend community and agency meetings as well as outreach events as required.
- Assist with orienting new Health Educators to the program’s policies and procedures.
- Develop and submit accurate reports regarding program activities, patients served, and other necessary information.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director and/or Administrator.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

BA/BS degree in health or human/social service-related; and/or business/marketing fields preferred and 1 year work related experience or three (3) years work related experience
- Experience in sales, marketing, retail and/or student recruitment preferred

Valid California driver’s license and insurance.
